Former Co-Owner Thrifty Stores, Sophie (Sotirelis) Ganosel, of Pawtucket, Passes

She was the wife of the late Henry Ganosel.
Sophie was born in Brockton, Massachusetts, the daughter of the late Sotirious Sotirelis and Erasmia (Kouvatis) Sotirelis. She was the sister of the late William and James Sotirelis of Brockton.

Mrs. Ganosel is survived by her children; Gail Tortolani and her husband Alan of Harrisville, Demi Riggs of South Kingstown, Cindy Ganosel and her husband John Microulis of South Kingstown, and Pamela Hayes and her husband Glenn of Westerly. She had nine grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
Sophie loved to celebrate the holidays with her family. She enchanted the parish Sunday choir with her beautiful voice. Sophie worked in the family business, Thrifty Stores on Broadway in Pawtucket and in Providence.
There will be a funeral service for Mrs. Ganosel on Friday, June 25th at 11:00 am in the Assumption of the Virgin Mary Greek Orthodox Church, 97 Walcott Street, Pawtucket, Rhode Island.
Visitation for Sophie will be from 10:00 am on Friday in the Church, prior to the service at 11.
