Felton Messina Javierre, of North Providence, Passes at 74

Felton Messina Javierre, 74, of North Providence, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Saturday, June 26, 2021.

He was the beloved husband of Carmen Millian De Messina. They were happily married for 34 years.

From Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, he was the son of the late Angel Messina and Ramona Javierre.

Felton was a self-employed electrical engineer for many years before his retirement. He was also a prominent Karate figure around the world for the Nihon Koden Shindo Ryu style of Karate. He was a beloved mentor to many. 

Besides his wife, he is survived by his loving children, Anabel Messina, Angie Messina, Kenyi Messina, Felton J. Messina, and Lyn Messina. He is also survived by his siblings Bayardo Messina, Werther Messina, and Guitze Messina, in addition to 6 cherished grandchildren.

Visiting hours will be Tuesday, July 6th from 12 pm-2 pm, followed by a funeral home service at 2 pm at the A.A. Mariani & Son Funeral Home, 200 Hawkins Street, Providence.

Burial will be private.
