Carol A. Thibodeau, 72, passed away Wednesday, January 26, 2022 after a short battle with lung cancer and more recently, COVID.

Born in Dorchester, MA, she was the daughter of the late Fred and Anna (Brett) Kuhn. Throughout her life, Carol positively influenced the lives of so many. Carol’s career in education began at Head Start in Attleboro, MA, where she brought her love and compassion to children who needed it most. Her next adventure took place in her home, where she operated her own Daycare/Preschool known as “Mrs. T.’s Tots.” Later in life, Carol worked as an instructional assistant at the Allen Avenue Elementary School in North Attleboro, and a lead teacher at the ABACUS program in Attleboro.  Eventually, she retired to provide childcare for her own grandchildren. Not only did Carol’s professional life revolve around inspiring children, she was also an active member of the South Attleboro Village Lions and volunteered for Christmas is for Kids and other community events. Carol once traveled to the Dominican Republic to assist in building a school and provide medical care for youngsters and their families.

Carol loved the beach and enjoyed camping, crafting, and all things Disney. She also cherished taking short vacations to New Hampshire, Vermont, and Cape Cod with her grandchildren. Christmas was Carol’s favorite holiday. She loved watching her loved ones open the perfect (or the funniest) gifts that she had so carefully chosen. She was a kid at heart and always quoted Peter Pan singing, “I’ll never grow up, never grow up. Not Me!”

She is survived by her daughters, Kim Ellis and Karyn Picard (husband Mike), and her stepsons, Francis (wife Cindy) and Timothy Thibodeau. Carol also leaves behind her grandchildren who filled her heart with joy: Shawn Ellis, Ryan Ellis, Jose Ramos, Frankie Ramos, Devin Picard, Cassidy (Cleo) Picard, and her step-grandchildren, Joshua and Daniel Soulliard.
