Beloved Magician, Political Pundit Walter S. Miller of Riverside Dies at 86

Walter S. Miller, 86, of Riverside, passed away on Saturday, May 28, 2022 at the Evergreen House Health Center.
Born in Providence, he was a son of the late Charles K. and Viola L. (Lyons) Miller. Walter was well known in East Providence and was known as the "Mayor of Riverside." He had an avid passion for politics and was a close friend of Buddy Cianci. He enjoyed making people happy and he will be remembered for his card tricks, coin tricks, his impersonations, and making paper flowers.

He leaves one brother, Glenn Miller of Riverside, his most recent caretakers, Angelina Wakester, May Coghlan and Margie Balasko and a very large extended family.
He was the brother of the late Edward Miller, Roland L. Miller, Charles K. MIller, Frank Miller Sr., May Miller, Helen Matthews, Donnie Matthews and Sherry Vieira.
His funeral service will be held on Wednesday, June 1, 2022 at 11:00 AM in the PERRY-McSTAY FUNERAL HOME, 2555 Pawtucket Avenue, East Providence.
Burial will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Calling hours Tuesday 5-8.
