He was a devoted and loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather (Papa), who had a great sense of humor and enjoyed spending time with his family. He will be fondly remembered for his love and devotion to his family, his hard work and sacrifices, his love without judgment, teaching us all how to be strong and kind to everyone. He treasured and adored his family.
He was the beloved husband of Dianne A. (Collard) Ramsdell for forty-nine years. Born and raised his family in Pawtucket. He was the son of the late Rita F. (Salvas) Ramsdell.

Besides his loving wife Dianne, he leaves behind three daughters: Robin Houle and her husband, Roger, of Pawtucket, Malinda Bernard of Warwick, and Dawn Sirois of North Providence; seven grandchildren, James Ramsdell and his wife, Pierrina, Naomi, Jonathon, and Crystal Ramsdell, Brittany Alton and her wife, Emily, Stephanie Schoepfer and Logan Sirois; ten great-grandchildren, Jaylinn, James Jr., Jaliel, Jamison, Janiyah, Davonte, Jaerell, Cam'ryn Ramsdell, Elizabeth Spetrini, and Mylo Alton; five sisters, Patricia Horta, Diane Roya, Carol Cameron, Sandra Haggerty, and Joanne Labree, and many nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Betty Peckham and Joyce Gadry.
Relatives and friends are welcome to attend Services with Military Honors on Thursday at 10:30 a.m. at William W. Tripp Funeral Home, 1008 Newport Ave., Pawtucket.
