Andrea “Andy” “Sonny” D’Agostino Jr., of Johnston, Dies at 92
He was the beloved husband of the late Elizabeth (Noyes) D’Agostino. The son of the late Andrea Sr. and Giuseppina (Lancellotti) D’Agostino. A lifelong resident of Johnston, and was awarded the key to the city on his 80th birthday by Mayor Joseph Polisena.
Andy also nicknamed the "Hammer" loved hard work, building and fixing things including his home on Lincoln Drive where he hosted many pool parties. Throughout his life, he's had many businesses from restaurants, gas stations and for many years the Go-Cart track located on Rte. 101 in Scituate.

He is survived by his loving children: Matthew D’Agostino and Andrea D’Agostino III and his wife Deanna; his stepchildren: John Shanley, Billy Shanley, Stefanie Forte and Tracey Jackson, his grandchildren: Justin D’Agostino and Valerie Kolenstein, his great-grandchildren: Sophia and Daniel Kolenstein and was the step-grandfather of 14 and uncle of many nieces and nephews. Andy was also the brother of the late Antonetta Zinanni, Raffaela Oliver, Carmella Calvitto, Frances DiBenedetto, Anna Perfetto, Antimo, Joseph and Maria D’Agostino.
Visiting hours will be held on Thursday evening from 4-7 pm in the Nardolillo Funeral Home & Crematory, 1278 Park Ave., Cranston.
His funeral will be held on Friday morning at 11 am at the funeral home followed by military honors and entombment in Highland Memorial Park, Johnston.
