VIDEO: Mom Saves Girl Attacked by Raccoon in Connecticut

A young girl was attacked by a raccoon in Connecticut on Friday.

Rylee MacNamara was on her way to school in Ashford on Friday morning when the incident occurred — and was caught on camera.

“Per Rylee’s request ‘show everyone what the racoon did’ we are headed to get checked out for rabies following this unprovoked racoon attack. I can’t tell you how proud I am of this Brave girl!!” Rylee’s mother Logan posted on Facebook. 

Rylee MacNamara said she and her mother suffered some bite marks and scratches before her mother was able to yank the animal off her, the family told WFSB. 

The two went to the hospital, received rabies shots, and were back home in a couple of hours, according to the news outlet.
