Veranda House on Nantucket Devastated by Fire -- Owned by RI Developer

The historic Veranda House on Nantucket was devastated by fire on Saturday.

The 18-room boutique hotel on Step Lane was completely renovated in 2020, according to the Nantucket Resort Collection website.

The Nantucket Fire Department said they first received a 911 call about the fire at the Veranda House shortly after 6:45 a.m.

The Veranda House, The Regatta Inn, The Chapman House, and Arbor Cottage which collectively are know as the Nantucket Resort Collection and in turn are owned by TPG The Procaccianti  Group — the Cranston-based global hospitality firm.
