Three RI High Schools Chosen for Regional Conference

Held on April 7 and 8 in Nashua, New Hampshire, the conference is sponsored by the New England Secondary School Consortium (NESSC) in collaboration with the departments of education in Connecticut, Maine, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, and Vermont. The schools were selected on the basis of significant progress in raising graduation rates, college-enrollment numbers, and other indicators of educational achievement.
“I am very pleased that some of our high schools in Rhode Island can provide examples of what’s working well,” said Deborah Gist, Commissioner of Primary and Secondary Education. “We all are honored to showcase our best practices alongside the work of other great high-school educators in New England.”
Delegations from the schools – comprised of principals, other faculty members, and students – will deliver presentations at the conference.
