Shots Fired at Driver in Car in Providence, House Hit - Suspects Reportedly Juveniles

Providence Police are investigating a report of shots fired in the city overnight. 

According to police, a vehicle was hit multiple times with the driver inside - and a resident said their house was hit as well.

About Incident 

Shortly before midnight on Friday, police were called to Ocean Street in South Providence for a report of shots fired.

Police said they met with the male victim, who told officers he had been driving in the area when he was approached by what appeared to be two juveniles dressed all in black wearing masks. 

He said he heard banging on the side of his car when he realized that they had fired shots at his vehicle.

The victim said he fled the area before calling the police. Officers said there were multiple bullet holes visible in the side of the car. 

 

House Hit

Police said they then spoke with a resident on the street who said they heard shots fired.

Police said they saw multiple shots had been fired into the home. 

Multiple shell casings were located at the scene, according to police.
