Rotisserie Chicken Brings Home Missing Dog in Rhode Island After 48 Hours

For Stephen Antonelli, when their family dog Chip got out in western Cranston -- and they couldn't find him for two days -- they were beside themselves.
"A rotisserie chicken, a ring doorbell cam in the driveway and a lot of love brought our boy home at 3:30 am," said Antonelli. "Thanks to Packleader Petrackers for suggesting leaving a rotisserie chicken outside, (still can’t believe it) -- he came home and set off the ring cam. Chad woke up to the alert and there he was, almost 48 hours later."

And thanks to my Chad for his selfless love and big heart and the hours of searching and of course the repositioning of the ring cam and leaving his bed in the driveway every night with water," said Antonelli of his son keeping a lookout. "He loves his Chip!! We all do and are so relieved and happy."
Finding Petrackers
"We’re up in Western Cranston only Arnold Road area Scituate Avenue. Lots of wooded area. So many friends on Facebook shared it, there were so many people looking in all the different neighborhoods within a 10-mile radius for two days straight," said Antonelli.
"Then somebody suggested that Packleader has a tracking canine so I contacted him through Facebook. He then told me before he came to us which would’ve been today he said to leave a rotisserie chicken out last night. I thought he was joking," he said.
"So of course my son would try anything because he was a mess. So we went to Stop & Shop got a rotisserie chicken put it on top of a small step ladder, in the driveway set up the ring doorbell on top of his cage," said Antonelli.
"And my son woke up, at 3 AM nudging me and telling me he saw the dog on the Cam, sure enough went to the back door and the dog was sitting there waiting."
According to Antonelli, getting Chip back was a family after.
"I have a daughter, Gia, as well as Chad, and my partner Ben and I worked the rotisserie chicken setup," he said.
