RI Woman Is One of Three Shot in Times Square on Saturday

“Three innocent bystanders — including a 4-year-old girl who was toy shopping with her family — were shot Saturday in Times Square when a man arguing with three other people wildly fired into the late afternoon crowd, according to police and sources. The bullets flew at 4:55 p.m. outside of 1515 Broadway, along West 44th Street, when the dispute turned the Crossroads of the World into a shooting gallery and shocked even hardened members of New York’s Finest,” reports the Post.
According to the Post, “The adult victims are Wendy Magrinat from Rhode Island — who was in the city to see the Statue of Liberty, but missed her ride and went to Times Square instead — and Marcela Aldana of New Jersey, sources said. Magrinat, 23, was waiting in line at the BT21 store with her family, according to WNBC.”

The doctor said he wouldn’t do any surgery or take out the bullet, it would do more damage,’” added the Post.
In addition to Magrinat, a four-year-old and a New Jersey woman were also wounded.
New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio tweeted, "The perpetrators of this senseless violence are being tracked down and the NYPD will bring them to justice. The flood of illegal guns into our city must stop."
