RI State Police Announce Task Forces Arrested Two on Drug Charges

On Friday, the Rhode Island State Police announced that members of two police task forces teamed to make drug arrests this week.
Members of the Violent Fugitive Task Force with the assistance of the High-Intensity Drug Trafficking Area Task Force arrested two subjects for narcotics charges:
Adam Gallucci, age 23, of 50 Adams St, 3rd Flr, North Providence, RI, for 1) Possession of Cocaine 1 ounce to 1 kilo, 2) Possession of Cocaine with Intent to Deliver, 3) Possession of 1 to 5 kilos of Marijuana, 4) Possession of Marijuana with Intent, 5 ) Controlled Substance Conspiracy, 6) Cranston Police Affidavit/Arrest Warrant for Domestic malicious Damage and Domestic Disorderly Conduct

Gallucci and Marcotte were initially arraigned on Wednesday at the Lincoln Barracks and held without bail.
Their next court date will be November 29, 2019 at Third Division District Court where they will appear for a formal arraignment.
According to the State Police, seized from the residence of Marcotte was the following:
* 47 grams of suspected cocaine;
* Approximately 9 pounds of suspected marijuana
* $8,184 dollars in U.S. currency
Any person found guilty of Possession of one ounce to one kilo of cocaine upon conviction, may be imprisoned for a term up to fifty (50) years and fined not more than five hundred thousand dollars ($500,000).
Any person found guilty of Possession of one kilo to five kilos of marijuana upon conviction, may be imprisoned for a term up to fifty (50) years and fined not more than five hundred thousand dollars ($500,000).
Any person found guilty of Delivery/Possession with Intent to Deliver and Manufacture a Schedule (I) or (II) Controlled Substance may be imprisoned for not more than thirty (30) years, or fined not more than one hundred thousand dollars ($100,000.00) nor less than three thousand dollars ($3,000.00).
The Violent Fugitive Task Force is managed by the Rhode Island State Police and the United States Marshal Service. It is comprised of members from the Warwick Police, Pawtucket Police, Coventry Police, Providence Police, Portsmouth Police, Middletown Police, Cranston Police and East Providence Police Departments.
