Rep. Gallison Introduces Bill Restricting Drones

Representative Raymond E. Gallison, Jr., Chairman of the House Finance Committee, has introduced legislation that would restrict the flying of drones as well as the registration of drones with the Department of Public Safety.
The bill has been referred to the House Judiciary Committee.
Gallison's legislation would prohibit the flying of any drone within five miles of T.F. Green State Airport and Quonset State Airport, as well as within two miles of all other State Airports.

With this bill, it is my desire to help protect the safety of airline travelers," Gallison Jr. said.
The bill also prohibits the flying of any drone within 1/2 mile of any government building, college, university and school as well as within five miles of military installation.
