About Incident

Shortly after 3:30 AM Saturday morning, police were patrolling the area on Chalkstone Avenue due to what they said was an increase of nuisance calls in the area. Police noted that they had responded to the location a week earlier to disperse a crowd.

Police said they heard loud music coming from inside the building Saturday morning and upon entrance found “unruly patrons” who they told to disperse.

According to police, multiple subjects disobeyed orders and were placed into handcuffs, placed in the rear of marked Providence Police cruisers, and then were transported to Central Station.

Arrests:

Alexander Sosa Mercedes, age 20, was given numerous warnings to leave the area by numerous officers, according to police.

Mercedes was reportedly in possession of an alcoholic drink and threw it at an officer, hitting the officer in the face, uniform, and eyes.

Police reportedly attempted to place him in handcuffs and a struggle ensued before he was placed into the back of a marked police cruiser.

Mercedes was then transported to Central Station without incident. Mercedes is being charged by the Patrol Bureau with simple assault and disorderly conduct.

Police reported that Rudy Sepulveda, age 25, was given numerous verbal commands to leave the property and began to be unruly with police.

Sepulveda then reportedly approached multiple officers in an aggressive manner shouting obscenities. He was placed under arrest and is being charged by the Patrol Bureau with disorderly conduct, resisting arrest, and obstruction.

Tomas Sepulveda, age 23 was verbally warned by police to disperse the property numerous times. Police say they then attempted to detain him and a short foot pursuit ensued. He was placed into handcuffs, placed in the rear of a marked police cruiser, and will be charged by the Patrol Bureau with disorderly conduct, and obstruction.

Alexander Encarnacion, age 27, was arrested and is being charged by the Patrol Bureau with disorderly conduct and resisting arrest.

Four police cars in total were on the scene; police reports note that officers incurred hand, knee, wrist, and neck injuries making arrests.
