Blackjack, craps and other table games are coming to Twin River, but Newport residents voted against the proposal to add table games at Newport Grand.

The questions asked Rhode Islanders if they would support allowing the two casinos to expand to bring in table games, an issue state leaders said was vital to helping the state's economy.

Gambling is the state's third largest source of revenue, but Twin River and Newport Grand are set to face major competition from Massachusetts, which approved a plan to build three resort-style casinos and a slot parlor to the Bay State late last year.
