NEW: Senate Committee To Discuss Emergency Response to Irene Again

The Senate Committee on Housing and Municipal Government will meet for a third time to discuss “Lessons Learned Regarding Emergency Response to Tropical Storm Irene" Thursday in the Senate Lounge.
The October 13 hearing is scheduled as a panel discussion regarding the coordination of shelter and transportation efforts between municipalities and private entities.
Scheduled to participate in the discussion are Paul R. Annarummo, maintenance administrator of the Department of Transportation; Mario Bruno, regional chief operating officer, CT/RI region, and Elizabeth McDonald, senior director of emergency services, RI chapter, American Red Cross; Joseph Arsenault, director of Richmond Emergency Management Agency, and Todd Manning, director of Smithfield Emergency Management Agency.
