NEW: RISC Announces New Executive Director

The Rhode Island Statewide Coalition (RISC) is today announcing changes in leadership to the non-partisan, taxpayer advocacy organization. Donna Perry, who has been serving as Communications Director, has been named new Executive Director of RISC. Harriet Lloyd, who has been Executive Director, will be stepping aside from day to day operations but will serve as President of RISC.The changes are being announced by RISC Founder and longstanding Chairman Harry Staley.
“We have been fortunate to have these two talented and dedicated women managing much of our issue monitoring and communications engine and are pleased to announce these new leadership roles for them both,” says Staley. “Donna brings much energy and passion in communicating the RISC mission of achieving fairness for the taxpayer and I am confident those skills will be evident in her new role as Executive Director.”
Staley is also recognizing the dedication to RISC shown by Harriet Lloyd in the multiple roles she has carried.“Iknow I speak for our entire membership when I say we owe a deep debt of gratitude to Harriet for her leadership, her many talents, and her tireless dedication for many years now. We will benefit going forward with her in the role ofRISC President.” Lloyd will continue involvement with the publication of the popular daily e-newsletter, RISC-y Business. RISC also expects to move its office headquarters, currently in South County, to a more centralized location in the state in the coming weeks.
