RI Gas Prices Drop 5 Cents From Last Week
Tuesday, January 19, 2016
Rhode Island gas prices have dropped five cents from last week, according to a recent survey done by AAA Northeast.
AAA's survey shows that the average price for self serve, regular unleaded in Rhode Island is $1.94. Rhode Island's price is five cents above the national average for regular unleaded and 21 cents lower than a year ago at this time.
“Crude oil prices haven’t been this low since 2003. Strong oil supplies, coupled with the lessening demand we typically see during the winter, are signs that prices could even go lower," said Lloyd Albert, AAA Northeast Senior Vice President of Public and Government Affairs.
