NEW: PC Basketball Player Duncan Powell Arrested

Providence College basketball player Duncan Powell was arrested by Cranston Police and charged with domestic disorderly conduct.

 

Powell was a graduate student this year and made national headlines for an incident on St. Valentine’s Day.

Providence was leading 40-39 when, on a breakaway by St. John's Bryce Hopkins, PC’s Duncan Powell's right arm hammered Hopkins in the face on a layup.

 

The 6’8” forward is from Dallas, Texas.

 

Before coming to Providence, he attended North Carolina A&T, Sacramento State, and Georgia Tech.
