NEW: New Pension Reform Coalition Formed

Today, a coalition of businesses, trade associations and social service agencies announced the formation of EngageRI--a non-profit organization seeking to help Rhode Islanders take a more active role in the formation of the upcoming pension reform legislation.
The group also launched a print and radio ad campaign today, as well as a new website featuring tools to help voters contact their legislators.

"Successful job creation depends on straightening out this increasing burden on burden on Rhode Island tax payers. We are glad that the General Assembly is coming back to deal with pension reform this year and will support their efforts to make comprehensive changes that create retirement security for workers while protecting taxpayers and those that rely on government services”
