A fundraiser for BHS alum and former basketball standout Lesley DeMaio Duffy (left), who is battling lung cancer, will take place this Monday at the BHS girls basketball game.
A fundraiser for Barrington High School graduate Lesley DeMaio Duffy, who is battling lung cancer, will take place at the BHS Girls Basketball home game against Portsmouth this coming Monday at 7 p.m.
DeMaio Duffy, who was a member of the 1995 BHS Girls Basketball State Championship team, was diagnosed with an aggressive form of lung cancer in October, and has been undergoing treatment.
A GoFundMe page (see excerpt below) was started last fall to help offset costs for the family; Monday's game will raise funds through ticket and T-shirt sales.

Donations and social media shares continue to come pouring in from across the globe, at all hours of the day/night and from all phases of their lives. It's gone beyond just friends, family and co-workers to include friends of friends, family of family, strangers etc.
Tickets, T-Shirts Sales to Benefit Family Fund
The Barrington High School Girls Basketball team, along with the soccer, field hockey and track teams will be honoring DeMaio Duffy at the game.
Presale tickets to the game are $10 and can be purchased by sending an email to [email protected]; tickets are also available at the door.
In addition, T-shirts will be sold at the event and in advance for $20; they can also be purchased at [email protected].
All proceeds from ticket and T-shirt sales will go to the Lesley DeMaio Duffy Family Fund.
