NEW: Cicilline Launches Online Tool For Small Businesses

Tuesday, October 04, 2011

Today U.S. Congressman David Cicilline launched an online tool for small businesses in Rhode Island. The webpage will initially serve as a forum for Rhode Island small business owners to share their feedback and ideas on how the federal government can help local small businesses, provide their thoughts on government programs or services they have used, explain the impact of regulations, and more.

For the past nine months, Congressman Cicilline said he has has heard directly from small business owners and employees about the challenges they face and their suggestions on how government can best help small businesses during these tough economic times. Cicilline is launching this new tool in an effort to hear from more small business owners, ensuring their priorities are reflected in his work in Rhode Island and Congress.

“My goal is to create a one-stop web page for small business owners and entrepreneurs in Rhode Island’s First District, where they can share their concerns and ideas with me, while also accessing the information, tools, and resources that will help them start, sustain, and grow their business in Rhode Island,” said Congressman Cicilline, who serves on the House Small Business Committee.
