919 New Coronavirus Cases in RI — Explosive Outbreak

On Wednesday, the Rhode Island Department of Health reported 919 new COVID-19 cases in the state on Tuesday.
The exploding numbers come as the United States recorded 139,855 cases in one day — a new record — which is up 69% in just the past 14 days.
Nationally, there are over 62,000 people hospitalized due to coronavirus complications.

In Rhode Island, the numbers continue to surge — on October 20, the state reported 156 new cases.
As GoLocal reported on Wednesday, the Raimondo administration overestimated the cost of coronavirus testing by $150 million.
There were six new fatalities reported, bringing the state’s total to 1,243.
There are currently 220 hospitalizations.
