Man Shot in Providence

Providence Police are investigating a shooting in the city overnight in which one man was shot. 

About Incident 

Police responded to Rhode Island Hospital shortly before 10 PM Friday night for a report of a shooting victim.

Police met with a twenty-year-old male who said he had been in a vehicle on Douglas and Chalkstone Avenues when an unknown man fired shots into the passenger side.

The victim was hit in his arm; the driver of the vehicle then took him to the hospital for treatment. 

Detectives are currently investigating.
