Man Arrested in Narragansett Beach Stabbings

The Narragansett Police Department announced on Friday that it was able to positively identify a suspect involved in Tuesday's stabbing at the Narragansett Town Beach. 

 

Police identified the suspect and were able to get an arrest warrant signed for:

Willy Medina

Age: 18

81 Lincoln Ave. Pawtucket, RI

 

Arrest Made

Medina was taken into custody by the Rhode Island State Police Violent Fugitive Task Force on Friday. He was held by the Pawtucket Police Department before being turned over to the Narragansett Police Department.

Medina was charged with one count of Felony Assault and was arraigned today at the 4th District Court. He was held as a bail violator.

Medina is currently out on bail on another matter in which he was charged with License/Permit Required for Carrying Pistol, Firing in a Compact Area, Vandalism and Disorderly Conduct.

This case remains under investigation.
