GoLocal News Editor Kate Nagle Struck by Speeding Motorcycle in Front of Her Home

Kate Nagle, GoLocal’s News Editor was struck in front of her home by a motorcycle traveling in excess of an estimated 50 MPH. The motorcyclist neither slowed nor stopped after striking Nagle.

“Kate has suffered a number of injuries but is in stable condition,” said her husband and GoLocal CEO and co-founder Josh Fenton.

She underwent surgery on Wednesday night.

Nagle has been the leading reporter on the issue of crime for GoLocal. She is an award-winning journalist for her coverage of the Davey Lopes pool controversy and cover-up.

Nagle was hit at approximately 3:45 pm by a Harley-Davidson motorcycle. The driver had a helmet with piping or faux dreadlocks on the back of his helmet. 

Providence police are seeking information.

“Kate appreciates all the folks who have reached out. We will provide updates in the future,” said Fenton.

“I appreciate the quick response by Providence police and fire,” added Fenton.
