Former Boston Red Sox hero Johnny Damon was arrested for driving under the influence in Florida early Friday morning.

According to CBS Miami, Damon was arrested by Windermere Police around 8:15 a.m. and booked on charges for driving under the influence and resisting an officer without violence.

TMZ obtained the police report in which cops say Damon's blood-alcohol level was .30, nearly four times the legal limit.

“Cops also say Damon's wife was in the car at the time of the arrest -- and describe her as being completely out of control,” TMZ reported.

“In fact, cops say Michelle Mangan-Damon was uncooperative, combative -- and at one point, she actually pushed a police officer,” TMZ continued.

Magnon-Damon arrested for battery on a law enforcement officer and resisting arrest with violence.

Damon helped the Red Sox to their 2004 World Series title, hitting two home runs, one of which was a grand slam, to lead the Red Sox to the pennant over the New York Yankees; in the World Series, he also hit a home run as the Red Sox won the series against the St. Louis Cardinals in a four-game sweep for the Sox first World Series championship since 1918.
