In July of 2016,  a member of the most wanted list in Puerto Rico, wanted murderer Pedro Torres was captured in Providence on Goddard Street by RI State Police and Providence Police.

A year later, they are looking for him again. Today, dozens of officers continue to search for him in the Downtown and stretching to Smith Hill and North Main Street.

It is unclear how Torres was freed and why after more than a year since he was arrested in RI he was not returned to Puerto Rico.
