“I Am Not Going to be President-Elect Biden’s Nominee for HHS Secretary,” Says Raimondo

Rhode Island Governor Gina Raimondo on Thursday addressed speculation that she could be President-elect Joseph Biden’s nomination for Secretary of Health and Human Services.
At her weekly coronavirus briefing, Raimondo shot down the rumors.
“I am not going to be President-elect Biden’s nominee for HHS Secretary,” she said, saying, “I realize rumors are rampant. “

As GoLocal reported, the Rhode Island Department of Health on Thursday reported 1,330 new COVID-19 cases on Wednesday, and 9 additional deaths.
Rhode Island is now at 1,400 coronavirus-related fatalities since the start of the pandemic.
