Giving Back to Rhode Islanders in Need
Priceless
OK — you’ve just won a mega-Powerball jackpot. You’re richer than you could have ever imagined.
And no doubt, if and when family and friends find out, you’ve got a lot of decisions to make about who-gets-what.
But prior to your “big break,” you likely already had causes and organizations that are important to you — and always need help from donors.
There is no shortage of nonprofits assisting those in need — children, elderly, those who need food, warmth, and more.
Should you find yourself the winner of a lottery someday, here are just some of the organizations across the state that could benefit from your windfall.
And if you aren’t a “big winner?”
Don’t forget Giving Tuesday is coming up later in November to coincide with Thanksgiving, so you should still take advantage of the opportunity to be generous if you have it.
You don’t have to be a multi-millionaire. Every little bit helps.
