This Rhode Island Realtor Sold a $10M House in Less Than Two Hours

Donna Simmons joined GoLocal LIVE.
Donna Simmons sells many of Rhode Island's most spectacular properties in the most affluent area of Watch Hill — a community that includes the summer homes of Taylor Swift and  Conan O’Brien.

Over the years, the village within Westerly has been the home to Andrew Mellon, Henry Ford, and Albert Einstein.

This year, over July 4th weekend, Simmons listed 8 Westerly Road, which went on the market July 1 for $9,950,000. “My first showing was at 10 am and by 11:43, I had a signed contract,” said Simmons of Mott & Chace Sotheby's International.

Today, she has listings that include Rhode Island’s most expensive home — Sandcastle, which is listed for just over $32 million. It is a house with an incredibly interesting history and one of the few properties on the East Coast with its own private white sand beach. Read about the history HERE.

Simmons said the key to selling these top-tier properties is price point.

"It is critical to price the property correctly to the market," she said.
