Sasse Asks Why Do the PawSox Owners Need Any Subsidy

Gary Sasse, the Money Man
Gary Sasse, the Money Man, asked the key question in the debate over public financing of a new stadium for the PawSox, "why do the owners need taxpayer funds."

On Business Monday on GoLocal LIVE, Sasse challenged Governor Gina Raimondo and legislative leaders to ask why there is a need for public funds. He said it may be reasonable for the state to participate in financing infrastructure costs.

Sasse also discussed the Raimondo administration's college funding proposal and how the public relations effort mirrors the effort she pushed to get buy-in for her pension reform package when she was General Treasurer.

Sasse heads the Hassenfeld Institute at Bryant University.
