Opponents of RIPTA Fare Hikes to Rally at RI State House Wednesday Afternoon

Sal Caiozzo
Community organizer and Congressional candidate Sal Caiozzo appeared on GoLocal LIVE with News Editor Kate Nagle on Tuesday to speak about the community opposition to RIPTA levying fares on the elderly and disabled, many who had previously been able to ride for free on the city's busses - until now.

Caiozzo spoke to the rally planned for Wednesday afternoon at 2 p.m. at the Rhode Island State house, and also took to task the new "safe rider alert'" system which is supposed to alert pedestrians when a bus is turning (but as GoLocal pointed out, is inherently flawed).
