LIVE: Writer/Director Jennifer Potts Talks Screenplay Award & Commitment to Women in Film

On her latest film project, writer/director/producer Jennifer Potts made a special commitment to her community; to use at least 50% women on her crew, and 80% of her cast and crew from the New England area. 

Potts’ short film, “The Extraordinary World of Cecily Blinkstop” recently wrapped production and is in the editing phase, the part of filming that she says excites her most, and inspired her to go back to school to study film and video production, then go on to earn her Master’s Degree in Writing for Stage and Screen from New Hampshire Institute of Art. 

The feature length version of the ‘Cecily Blinkstop’ script won her the Best Screenplay Award at this year’s RI International Film Festival.
