LIVE: RI First Tech Challenge Paves Way For A Future in STEM Careers

Around 45 middle and high school teams are competing in Rhode Island’s FIRST Tech Challenge.

FIRST (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology) Tech Challenge is part of a family of programs under the FIRST organization where students design, build, program, and operate robots to compete against other teams. 

Erin Flynn with New England Institute of Technology serves as the RI FIRST Tech Challenge Affiliate Partner. She says students develop STEM skills and learn engineering principles in competition.
