Body Armor Company CEO Appears on LIVE, Talks About Making Backpacks Bulletproof

Gladiator Solutions CEO Matt Materazo, who created lightweight body armor which is used by Special Forces, military contractors, law enforcement and first responders, appeared on GoLocal LIVE where he spoke to designing bullet-proof gear for students.  

Materazo, a father of two school aged kids, spoke to how they asked why he couldn't make armor for kids -- and how he responded to their call and created Pak Protect. 

“Parents are being sold a false sense of security,” said Materazo of the “bulletproof” products on market -- and that no company is providing Level 3 or Level 3a armor for kids. 

"Pak Protect created a new design of armor that inserts into a kid’s backpack – any backpack," said Materazo. "By holding the pack in front of you, covering your head and torso, or by running away with your head down a child now has the ability to escape and survive a horrific incident."
