LIVE: 19-Year-Old Singer/Songwriter Rennick Overcomes Chronic Disease to Headline at Met Cafe

Gracelyn Rennick
RI Native singer/songwriter, Gracelyn Rennick, was musically talented at a young age, but her musical aspirations were almost halted completely when a vaccine triggered a reaction causing Lyme Disease, a seizure disorder, and partial hearing loss at age 12.

Rennick says that during the most difficult times in her disease, she stopped playing music completely and was unmotivated to pursue it.

Her mother convinced her to take a songwriting class, which Rennick says, changed everything.

She recorded her first CD at 16, has won multiple awards for songwriting, has performed at major music venues like The House of Blues, and Hard Rock Cafe, and is now headlining her first show at The Met Cafe on Tuesday, August 29.
