One of America’s top political scientists says that the indictment of Hunter Biden may actually be politically beneficial in the long run to President Joe Biden’s reelection efforts.

The chair of the political science department at the University of Virginia, Jennifer Lawless, says, “Politically, I think it's actually excellent news for the Biden Administration and Biden's election team, because what this does is pop a hole in the balloon of this argument that there's this two-tiered system of justice because Biden's own Justice Department is now moving forward charging the President's son.”

Biden was indicted on three federal gun charges Thursday by a special prosecutor.

“Now, whether people are going to still continue to compare, say, that this is an apples-to-oranges comparison and that Donald Trump was indicted on charges that did not merit an indictment and Hunter Biden is indicted on charges that do it does make it more difficult to say that Democrats and Republicans are held to two totally different standards and that the Biden’s and the Trumps are held to two totally different standards,” said Lawless.

“I think [Hunter Biden] has to pay the price, and I think it will ultimately help people think about the American judiciary as a little bit more fair,” Lawless added.

Lawless also discussed in detail the questions about Joe Biden’s age and how it may impact the President’s reelection. SEE VIDEO ABOVE

Regarding Gabe Amo’s win in the Democratic primary for the first congressional district, Lawless offered the following.

“I think it was really a feel-good win. As I was watching the votes come in that night, I was just sort of like, this is amazing,” said Lawless, who once herself was a Democratic candidate for Congress in Rhode Island in 2006. She lost to Jim Langevin 60% to 40%.
