How Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses is Helping Rhode Island Companies

“We have nearly 400 graduates now in Rhode Island [who have come through the program and we’re part of a network of 12,000 plus around the country,” said Wood of the three-month program in growth management for small businesses that have already established having employees — “but they can be at any stage in their life and growth journey,” said Wood.
The current application period is open — and businesses can apply here. The deadline to apply is June 1, 2022.
“An additional benefit of the Rhode Island Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses program is that it is 100% grant-funded, through a grant from the Goldman Sachs Foundation. Through this grant funding, every Rhode Island small business that participates gets a scholarship so they receive a completely free business growth education. These businesses then go on to create jobs in their communities and drive the local economy forward,” said Wood.
“All this impactful economic development is done without having to use state or federal taxpayer money, so this program is like a gift to the state of Rhode Island, adding a completely free and excellent resource to the already existing great taxpayer-funded programs and services provided by CommerceRI and the SBA,” said Wood.
