Friskie Fries' Wright & Diantuono Talk Expansion on LIVE
What started off as gourmet fries on wheels, turned into a french fry sensation with enough clout to lead Wright and Diantuono to open their third location in the Barrington.
“What started out as a way to feed our hungry friends on late nights after going out turned into a successful food truck, and now we are moving on to our third location,” says Wright.
Taking french fries from a side dish to a main course, Friskie Fries uses toppings like buffalo chicken, chili cheese, and even a Rhode Island classic, hot wieners. In addition to their selection of savory fries, Friskie also offers milkshakes and dessert fries dusted with toppings like s’mores and glitter sprinkles.
The new location in Barrington joins Hartford Avenue in Johnston and Washington Street in downtown Providence.
“We expect to open the third location sometime in December, and we are working on a fourth in Newport” says Diantuono. Even with three locations, the two Friskie Fry trucks remain on the road for the remainder of the season and are available for events, says Wright, “they are booked for corporate events, weddings, graduation parties, you name it. If there’s a road, the truck can go”.
