Blackstone Valley Tourism's Toomey Talks Polar Express on LIVE

The beloved book and movie becomes a reality again this winter during the immersive three-hour holiday train ride experience; promising sing-alongs, hot cocoa in a commemorative travel mug, cookies and a silver sleigh bell for every child, given to them by Santa himself.
James Toomey from Blackstone Valley Tourism joined GoLocal LIVE’s Chelsea Guay to discuss what we can expect this year from the experience as well as how the Polar Express came to the Blackstone Valley.
The story itself is tied very closely to Rhode Island, as the author is a former professor at Rhode Island School of Design and lives locally in Providence.
"The event continues to grow and more trips have been added this year, which will likely bring the number of passengers over 20,000 for the season,” said Toomey.
Excursions to the North Pole are happening Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays from November 16 through December 23. The train has cars ranging from 28 to 88 seats, promising an intimate interactive holiday experience between performers and passengers.
