Lawless Warns Haley is “Not Good” for Biden

University of Virginia Political Science Department Chair Jennifer Lawless joined GoLocal LIVE following the GOP presidential debate this week.
U.N Ambassador Nikki Haley got high marks following the performances of the candidates — and Lawless looked at a scenario in which Haley could square off against President Joe Biden.
"It’s not good/ Look, she’s the next generation of leadership; she has quite a bit of foreign policy experience, she was a Governor, which means she has executive experience; she’s knowledgable," said Lawless.

"She has demonstrated a willingness to at least articulate a call for common ground on some very complex issues, which is something Joe Biden has done too, which might neutralize his ability to do that. So I don’t think the Democrats should be excited and enthusiastic about running against her."
Lawless pointed out that former President Donald Trump is still the frontrunner at this time, however.
"That said, I still don’t see a path [for Haley]. Donald Trump is so far ahead in all of the polls," said Lawless. "I’m not sure if he was sitting in a prison cell he wouldn’t run for president."
