Providence College Alum John O’Hurley reprises his role as Billy Flynn in Chicago at the Providence Performing Arts Center.

The music and choreography keeps him coming back to play and the role of Flynn which O’Hurley says he has played both on and off Broadway for several years.

Best known as “J.Peterman” on Seinfeld, O’Hurley says he enjoys visiting his alma mater Providence College and will likely eat at the Capital Grille while he’s in town.

He also says he loves the elegance of Newport and tries to spend as much time walking around or sitting outside in Newport.

While many associate Hollywood with liberal views, O’Hurley says he believes in individual responsibility.

When it comes to family O’Hurley says his son thinks it’s cool he voices cartoon characters, most notably King Neptune from Sponge Bob.

O’Hurley’s  son will join him as assistant stage manager in Providence for his role in Chicago which runs May 2-7 at PPAC.
