video: “Where They Slept: Slave Quarters in Rhode Island” to Premiere on RI PBS

Rhode Island PBS will premiere the documentary "Where They Slept: Slave Quarters in Rhode Island" on February 28 at 6 p.m.
The program will feature Dr. Jon Marcouz and three of his students in the Noreen Stoner Drexel Cultural and Historic Preservation program a Salve Regina joined by historian and preservationist Joseph McGill for an overnight stay at Smith's Castle in North Kingstown.
The reason for staying there is to do a close up examination of where slaves lived on the site int he 17th and 18th centuries. The show is a recording of the experience.
