The Beatrice Hotel in downtown Providence has launched its “Holiday Gift Guide," in memory of the hotel’s namesake, Bea Temkin.

'Tis the season for giving and gratitude. This year’s Holiday Gift Guide showcases the selections of twelve influential local women, spotlighting the city’s hidden gems, small businesses, and nonprofits,” says The Beatrice. “It embodies the spirit of generosity and appreciation, just as Bea envisioned. Her perfect gift? A cozy Providence escape that includes a luxurious stay at The Beatrice, a delightful dinner at Bellini, and rooftop cocktails.”

The boutique hotel -- which was recently tapped by Condé Nast Traveler as the “#6 Hotel in the Northeast" -- highlights gift suggestions ranging from jewelry to home goods, books and more.

GoLocalProv News Editor Kate Nagle is featured in the guide. Nagle and her husband, GoLocal Co-Founder and CEO Josh Fenton, have two rescue dogs, which played a part in choosing a "gift with a purpose."

“This holiday season, I’m excited to be suggesting a gift for furry friends as part of ‘Bea’s Holiday Gift Guide’ — donating to a ‘Pawfect Pantry,’” said Nagle.  “This charitable endeavor started by Alexandria Zoe Fisher helps the elderly, veterans, and homeless who have pets, and need assistance to keep them fed — and their fur family intact."

“So check out their website and Facebook page for their needs, and let your pet-owning friends — or even their pets themselves — know you’ve made a gift in their honor to help others, in the spirit of Bea Temkin and all she did to so graciously give back to the Rhode Island community,” said Nagle.
