McDrummin' in the 401: Christopher Mintz-Plasse

You probably know him as the ladies' man from Superbad, but Christopher Mintz-Plasse can also make sweet music on the drums. The actor formerly known as McLovin' stopped by Providence last Thusday with his band The Young Rapscallions when they played at Ken Casey's waterfront bar The Whiskey Republic. Chris is still involved in Hollywood, but he seems to be focusing more on the band lately, which just released its debut album Everything Vibrates. And this weekend impressionist, actor, Saturday Night Live alum, and Emmy-winning comedian Dana Carvey will stop by the Kingston arena for URI Family Weekend (but the show is open to the public). Plus, be sure to catch rapper Lupe Fiasco later this month...

He was also planning to visit the Newport Mansions Store on Bannister's Wharf in Newport on Sunday to sign books and meet the public. His is currently promoting his new book, Essential Pepin, containing over 700 of his favorite recipes, and although he wasn’t there in person, the Barrington store will have signed and personalized bookplates at a later date for disappointed Pepin fans…
