The Rhode Island Black Heritage Society will host a photo exhibit, Many Faces, at the John Brown House Museum in Providence.

Many Faces will feature dozens of photos from the late 1880s to the present of African Americans living and working in Rhode Island.

Rare photos from the archives

Photos were submitted from the Rhode Island Heritage Society, Rhode Island Historical Society, Newport Historical Society, Providence City Archives, and members of the community. Many of the photographs are on loan from archives and have never before been exhibited to the public.
