Races, rock, and hot rods

Other events during the four-day festival include: a 5K Road Race dedicated in memory of Sal Corio and Kyle McLaughlin on Saturday at 10 a.m.; a Battle of the Bands on Friday night, PGA Pro Mike Bradshaw on Saturday and Sunday, Kelley Lennon headlining a Sunday night concert with Corey Pesatoro opening, and the 23rd Annual Hot Rod Car Show Cruise Day Sunday from 9-3 (the fairgrounds will open at noon). CumberlandFest is an all-volunteer organization that raises funds for sports programs in Cumberland. Each organization receiving funds must provide volunteers throughout the four days of the fair to help with tickets, cleaning, parking, setup, security etc. Many of the volunteer committee members have been there since year one. CumberlandFest is the largest family entertainment draw in Northern Rhode Island.

All profits after expenses made at CumberlandFest go back into the community to support youth sports programs. For additional information regarding CumberlandFest, check online at cumberlandfest.org or on Facebook at CumberlandFest 2013.
