The Providence Children’s Museum (PCM) is hosting what it is calling Rhode Island’s "cutest New Year’s Eve celebration" with “Noon Year’s Eve” on Friday.

Special guest Rock-a-Baby music will welcome families for one session from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM during which guests will enjoy festivities such as dancing, playing with musical instruments, and a New Year’s Eve parade – all of which will take place outside.

Rock-a-Baby is an interactive music program for infants and toddlers -- and for all ages to enjoy. Guests can meet the stars of the show -- puppets Rhythm, Melody and Harmony -- and will explore simple musical concepts through live and recorded sound and experience everything from Beethoven and Bach to rap and rock.

A formal "Ball Drop" will take place in the Children’s Garden at noon sharp to accommodate early bedtimes of the youngest revelers.

“We are thrilled to welcome back the cutest New Year’s Eve celebration in Rhode Island.  What better way to send off 2021 and welcome in the new beginnings of 2022 than with PCM and Rock-a-Baby,” said PCM Executive Director, Caroline Payson. “It’s truly Rhode  Island’s own Rocking New Year’s Eve.”

Advanced ticketing is available, and a limited number of walkup tickets will be available on Friday

In addition, PCM will offer take home activity kits for families interested in bringing the party home.
